About Us

Since the early 1970's, the Sacramento County NLPOA has sponsored numerous community programs in an effort to make Sacramento a better place to live.  Through the dedication of our members, our chapter has made a positive impact in our community by coaching youth sports, such as soccer and boxing, providing mentorship, assisting legal residents become United States Citizens, and distributing toys and food during Christmas each year.  Our main focus for many years has been to provide college scholarships to deserving students in the greater Sacramento area.  It is our members that make this all possible.

If you would like to become part of an active organization, and want to do something for your community, become a member of the Sacramento County NLPOA.  Our organization has given away thousands of dollars in scholarships to deserving students and has developed conferences, workshops, and mentors to help qualified citizens obtain a career in law enforcement.  In addition to the opportunity to be actively involved in our community, members benefit by making connections with several agencies throughout the state and across the country.

Membership is open to anyone who lives in the Greater Sacramento Area.  If you live outside the Sacramento area, you can become a "member at large".  If you are a peace officer, please provide a copy of your department ID with your membership application.

All charitable donations and membership dues are tax deductible.  The Sacramento County Chapter is a 501(C)(3) Non Profit Organization.
